So you think to yourself, during the songwriting process…

  • Is what I wrote any good?

  • Do I really even know what I’m doing?

  • Could this be better?

  • Am I forgetting to include something?

My name is Connor Frost, I’m a songwriter, musician, International touring musician, and professional songwriting coach.

And since 2019, I’ve helped hundreds of songwriters to write and release their first collection of songs.

And I’m here to tell you that I’ve been there…

When I first started writing songs, felt just like you - very alone.

And so I just wrote what came out of me, and what felt natural to me, and didn’t have anyone to tell me anything constructive about my songs.

I remember thinking: I don’t know what I don’t know.

And so I just had tons of random, incomplete song ideas that I thought sounded OK, but I didn’t write with any intention. I wasn’t able to turn my thoughts into finished songs.

It wasn’t until I started working with teachers and mentors, and writing songs more regularly, that I was able to turn my random words into impactful lyrics, my dozens of voice recordings into catchy melodies, and put all of those together to write, and finish songs.

Which led me to…

  • touring the US dozens of times, as well as internationally in Mainland China, Taiwan, and Canada

  • opening for big acts including Vundabar, Fred Mascherino (formerly of Taking Back Sunday), and Andy Suzuki

  • getting a song placed in an ESPN web series

  • getting featured on a national radio station in Asia

  • guesting on popular podcasts including The Music Production Podcast

  • getting interviewed in renowned music publications including American Songwriter

So I’m bringing two decades of experience into one 1:1 shared experience, to help songwriters like yourself, to consistently and confidently finish writing their songs, through…

The LMS Roadmap

What is it?

  • The LMS Roadmap is my signature a 1:1, one-off songwriting coaching session, which includes a deep dive into the lyrics, melody, and structure (hence L.M.S.) of up to two of your unfinished songs

HOW DOES IT WORK?

STEP 1: You’ll find a date and time for us to connect for the call

STEP 2: You’ll send me up to two rough Voice Memo recordings, or mp3s, as well as typed lyrics of your unfinished song(s) (I repeat, songs should be unfinished)

STEP 3: We’ll do a 1:1 deep dive into the lyrics, melody, and structure of your songs together. We’ll discuss and brainstorm together, and I’ll provide suggestions and feedback along the way

STEP 4: You’ll receive…

  • a recording of the call (so you can view it as many times as needed)

  • a PDF summary/critique of your song (so you can have clear, actionable notes)

  • a list of action steps you’ll want to take to finish writing your song(s) (so that you don’t have to sit and guess what to work on next)

  • my running list of songwriting and production resources (so that you don’t have to endlessly search YouTube)

All this for the amount of an expensive New York City dinner.

Some thoughts you may be having:

1) “I’m not ready for something like this. I’m not ready to share my songs.”

Fair enough. It can be nerve-wracking putting yourself and your songs out there. Could this investment help you in getting one step closer to feeling ready? One step closer to sharing your music with the world one day?

2) “Money is tight. I’m not sure I can invest in my music right now.”

Look, I get it and I’ve been there. Times are tough. If you don’t have the money, you don’t have the money. Ultimately it’s a risk assessment. What’s the risk if you were to invest in this today? What’s the risk if you were to not invest today?

3) “What if I do the call and don’t get any value from it?”

If we get through the call, and you don’t feel as if you got any value from it, I will refund you in full.

4) “I don’t have time right now.”

Some tough love - how long have you been saying that? Is this important to you? If so , can you create 90 minutes out one of your days to devote time to your music?

5) “I’ll do this later, things are a little crazy right now with work/school.”

What you see on the calendar is what’s available - this opportunity is available for the next two weeks.

6) “I’m interested, but I’m literally not available for any of those times.”

All good. Pick a random date and time, shoot me a message after asking to change it, and we can find something that works.

Final Thoughts:

At the end of the day, there are three major questions to ask:

1) Is what I’m currently doing, working?

2) Are there certain areas where I can improve/learn more about?

3) Is it a greater risk to invest in myself now and maybe it won’t be helpful, or a greater risk to not invest, and potentially stay where I am?

This journey with songwriting isn’t easy. If you think that connecting would be helpful to it, then I look forward to seeing you on the other side. :)

Sincerely,

Connor
