Connor’s uses his signature approach…the “IRP” Method:
IRP stands for Introduce - Repeat - Play
While most language teachers are getting caught up in over-explaining grammar rules and sentence structure, Connor’s simple approach involves a brief introduction of new material, the repetition and variation of the material, and playing either a game or a song, to internalize the material.
Because after all…there’s a reason you remember all of those songs and games from your childhood!

About Connor
Connor Lin Frost is a Taiwanese-American Mandarin Chinese educator as well as musician, having taught across the New York City private school system, as well as here in Vermont at Middlebury Interactive Languages, where he served as both a teacher and administrator for their summer camps at St. Michael’s college from 2015-2017.
Connor was an East Asian Studies major at Connecticut College from 2007-2011, and has lived abroad in Beijing, and spent time both studying and playing music throughout mainland China and Taiwan.
Connor has taught hundreds of students Mandarin over the last sixteen years across a wide range of age groups as well as styles of teaching, from HSK to full-immersion to online.
